Wagaya remains to be one of my favourite Japanese restaurants. With reasonable prices, great seating options, the novelty of a touch screen menu and tantalising Japanese cuisine - what more could you want?? I have been here numerous times for various occasions whether it be birthday dinners or catchup with long-time friends, this place is a go-to for any function.
I love the option of being able to select your own dished from the touch-screen as it give the dining experience a more personal feel. You can choose the items and then check what you have ordered and then also come back to order more (which we certainly did!). The booths are quick comfortable and it provides more of an intimate dining experience as you are segregated from other diners.
Below are photos from my more recent dinner at Wagaya in which these two lovely gentlemen treated me for dinner! We ordered a feast that night which included items such as home-made gyoza, takoyaki, stir-fried seafood udon, rainbow roll, soy sauce tonkatsu ramen, assorted sushi and sashimi roll. Everything came out very quickly and met all expectations. The takoyaki is by far the best in Brisbane and my personal favourite is the stir-fried seafood udon which was full of juicy seafood but is not overpowered by oil or the sauce. The sushi and sashimi is fresh and light on the palate - good with or without soy sauce.
RECOMMENDED: the best Japanese experience for any occasion
