STOCKHOLM SYNDROME | Sandgate Rd, Albion

This may be the last time the three of us may be together in the same place at the same time for the next 2 years. My dear friend Yaz is going overseas for three months on a whirlwind tour around Middle East and Eastern Europe and Rach will be leaving for LA soon after. Alas, I will be friendless in a couple of months! :( So I picked this place as the last supper mainly because of the cool decor and also from an email recommendation - and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Stockholm Syndrome had a rustic feel with low hanging light bulb, jagged bricks and second hand doors to provide privacy for different diners. There was also a cute outdoor dining area that would have been a lovely brunch spot. The service was slow that night with only one waiter that had to serve about 5 tables. The food came out quite slowly but it certainly didn't disappoint. We had Herb and Garlic Bread  for entree. Rach ordered Swedish Meatballs in a Swedish Creamy Curry Sauce served with boiled potatoes, beans, pickles and ligonberry. Yaz ordered the risotto that was on special and I had the special lamb shanks. All the food was so scrumptious and was exactly the right proportion for us girls. My lamb shanks was marinated so well and the meat was melting off the bone. Rach loved her Swedish meatballs and it made her reminisce the time where she did exchange in Sweden for 6 months. I would definitely come here again for dinner!

RECOMMENDED FOR:  a funky dinner that requires for patient people!
