COMFORT AT MY TABLE | Cribb St, Milton

It's always a treat coming to Comfort At My Table. Whether it's just enjoying the warm and Ikea-esque furnishing, to the sweet aroma of coffee or people watching, this cafe is definitely on my favourites. Ive come here numerous occasions for a variety of reasons. Last year it was Mother's Day brunch and usually it's for a girls' coffee date.

Service is always impeccable with the staff being attentive, courteous and on the ball with all requests. The place is decorated beautifully with chalkboards displaying the specials and lovely wooden tables and woven chairs. There are cute little birds placed around the tables as well as stuck on the wall as art.

My friend and I ordered a coffee each (mine as mocha and hers was a caramel latte) and also the mushroom dish for brunch. However, I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take photos of the food. Sorry guys! My coffee was ok. Not the best Ive had in comparison to other cafes in Brisbane but it ticked the satisfactory boxed for taste, texture, sweetness/bitterness and size. (NB: I really only drink mocha so when I say that the coffee was good I am comparing really only the mochas in Brisbane!). I LOVE MUSHROOMS so the mushroom stack was to die for. Pretty much all species of the fungi family was found on the plate with a drizzle of oil, feta cheese and lemon. Absolutely delectable.

RECOMMENDED FOR: a brunch date with the girls (or your mum) in which you can sit for hours chatting OR just dropping by before work to read the newspaper because your hectic day begins
