My dad loves buffets so for his birthday, we took him out to Bazaar Interactive Marketplace. Mum and dad were in awe at the "hip" and "funky" design of the hotel. The foyer is very simplistic and modern with Scandinavian furniture littered across (which I spied some party goers taking lots of gossip girl-esque photos on them).
When you walk into the marketplace, the first thing you are confronted with is the large window display of prime meats. For me, it was tantalising to see what is to become of this meat ie roast pork, tandoori chicken, slow cooked lamb etc etc. The waiter was extremely attentive and educated us on how the marketplace worked. He patiently showed us the specials of the night and then explained how to order things that could not be seen ie wagyu beef steak cooked to your liking and a large array of customised salad items.
The abundance of food was overwhelming. Where do I start? There was everything from roast pork to paella to couscous to macaroons. Anything and everything from all four corners of the world. I was particularly chuffed that there was food available that you would usually only find on a menu of a fine dining resturauntt. the food was organised well and enough that everyone got a good share but not so much that it just looked like a mountain of cat food.
My parents enjoyed the interactive aspect of it- you could ask the specials of the night, tell the chef exactly how you wanted the beef cooked and what you wanted mixed into your ice cre. My sister on the otherhand was awestruck by the large array of dessert available- macaroons, choc mint slice, pavlova just to name a few.
It's definitely a place i'd recommend for a special occasion!
I love your blog, especially all of your lovely pics of the yummy food! As a Brissy girl, it's great to see reviews and pics on great places to eat around town :)
