Daniel and I caught up over brunch the other Saturday. Ive been dying to try out Foxy Bean for a while after seeing the menu online. Saturday mornings at Foxy Bean are crazy busy (just like any other cafe joint in Brisbane). I ordered my usual mocha and Daniel his cappucino. The coffee was nothing spectacular at all - I think Zarrafa makes better mochas! The menu offered the usual suspects and I ordered the Haloumi Breakfast which had a generous serving of grilled haloumi, sauteed mushrooms, avocado, herb roasted tomato and sourdough. Daniel as per usual orders safely with a quinetessential Bacon and Egg Toastie with a side of Avocado.
Foxy Bean is definitely a cute cafe with interested decor. However, it didn't offer much difference to ay other Brisbane brunch spot in terms of their coffee, range of selection on the menu and interior design/ambience.
